"TRADE MARK", 2019.
This was a project set by the Professional Masters in Education programme which allowed me to delve back behind the lens and into my artist practise.
The theme of "Space and Place" soon became a platform to explore curiosities around the place so familiar to me, my family's farm. The space is both a playground and a glass hotbox to me, from years of conflicting feelings of nostaglia and home to summers of sweaty manual labour - A wright of passage once familiar to many around the country, now distant.
This photobook has used Spaces around the local area of Rush as a way to express the battle of emotions felt towards the farm that is so homely with the feeling of lose with the knowledge this an ever dwindling sight in most rural towns.
